Welcome to Beta Bud! Our app is designed to bring the climbing community closer together. We help you track your climbs, monitor your progress, and compete with friends. With features like a leaderboard and competitions, we aim to add a friendly competitive edge to your climbing experience, motivating you to improve and reach new heights.
As climbers, we instinctively want to help each other, and Beta Bud was created to amplify that helpful spirit. By making it super easy for climbers to share their betas (video tutorials) with the whole community, we believe climbing will become more accessible, more fun, and more friendly for everyone.

Who's behind this?
Beta Bud was dreamed up by two bouldering buds – Adam Caldwell, the owner of Auckland's Boulder Co., and software engineer Malcolm Durling.
Beta Bud came to life in early 2023 with help from fellow boulderers – jack-of-all trades Sam Roberts and designer Liam Coxon.
It's early days and we're continuing to improve the Beta Bud experience. If you have any feedback, or suggestions we're all ears!
